Connect Stripe and get paid
Every seller connects their own Stripe account. Buyers pay you directly; SellSpace does not hold your money.
How payments work
Payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe Connect. When a buyer pays, the money is routed to your connected Stripe account and SellSpace's transaction fee is split off automatically (see Fees and plans). Stripe's own processing fees apply in addition. You choose which Stripe payment methods your buyers see in your own Stripe dashboard (Stripe Dashboard, Settings, Payments, Payment methods); the buyer's region and the order currency also matter. Card payments have Stripe's own minimum charge (for euro payments EUR 0.50); the other methods of your shop (customer balance, PayPal, crypto) have no minimum. Delayed methods (for example bank debits) are delivered only once Stripe confirms the payment.
Connect your account
- Open Payment MethodsIn the dashboard go to Payments, Payment Methods.
- Choose Connect Stripe AccountSellSpace creates a connected Stripe account for your e-mail address (depending on the platform setup a Stripe Express or a standard Stripe account) and sends you to Stripe's hosted onboarding.
- Complete the Stripe formStripe asks for your business or personal details, a bank account for payouts and identity verification. This data goes to Stripe, not to SellSpace.
- Return to SellSpaceWhen you come back, SellSpace asks Stripe for the live status of your account.
What "Finish Stripe setup" means
A Stripe account has to be fully set up before it can take payments. The status in your dashboard follows Stripe's live state:

| Not connected | No Stripe account is linked yet. Start the connection. |
| Pending | An account exists, but Stripe still needs details (not submitted yet) or is still verifying your account. Open the connection again to finish the steps Stripe lists. |
| Connected | Stripe can accept card payments and transfer funds to you. Checkout is enabled for your products. |
While the status is not Connected, buyers see a message that the shop owner has not finished setting up Stripe payouts, or that Stripe is still verifying the account. No order can be paid until then.
Payouts
Payouts to your bank account follow your Stripe payout schedule and Stripe's rules. You manage them in your own Stripe dashboard.
Disconnect
Choosing Disconnect removes the link between your SellSpace account and the Stripe account. It does not delete your Stripe account. You can connect again later.
Disputes and chargebacks are handled in Stripe and are the seller's responsibility. See Orders, customers and refunds.
